RENAISSANCE OF AFRICAN SPIRITUALITY | SIRIUSUGOART 2017 TO 2020

UgoArt also known as SIRIUS-UGO-ART Or Sirius Ugo Is an Afrofuturist, Polymath, Visionary, Filmmaker, and an Art Director. Ugo is an art generalist that used to paint and draw for the love of art, but that took too much of his time, so he learnt how to paint with light.(digital+film). He has spent all his life as a creative individual into Afrofuturism. And he is the creator of the Igbo-Renaissance-Art. 'I truly believe there are certain things nobody would ever see, if I didn’t photograph or film them. It is because it would be very hard for me to do things other people's way. I want the world to see the world that exist in my imagination. I've always been into art, and I was a huge fan of the Romanticism movement, which was an artistic, literary, musical, and intellectual movement that originated in Europe towards the end of the 18th century. Some of my favorite Romanticism paintings are 'Liberty Leading the People by Eugene Delacroix during the French Revolution era and 'Napoleon Crossing the Apls' painting by Jacques- Louis David. I read a lot of poetry books from Edgar Allan Poe, The ability to explore the darkside of human nature. The human potential for evil, including the psychological effects of guilt, sin, and madness. The beauty inside the darkside of humanity. And I've always wanted to visually see what those characters I created in writings looks like, outside of my imagination. And getting into cinematography, which to me is all about motions and sounds, I have worked with people only interested in doing things that has never been done before. Working with amazing models, amazing stylists and my art directing dexterity... we made a lot of Modern ROMANTICISM. I was heavily inspired to start an African Renaissance Art Movement, after i visited a gallery by Ben Enwonwu.' - Sirius-Ugo
